Sometimes we pray and our prayers go unanswered for a long time. There is a heavenly warfare that mortals like you and I can hardly comprehend; Satanic forces given over cities and countries to arrest and frustrate answers to the prayers of the saints (Daniel 10:13). Let us as such continue to wage war against these princes of darkness. Invoke the name of Christ over the different Msafara cities to break any barriers that the enemy may be contemplating to stop our prayers.
Pray for a breakthrough in the different cities. Pray that beyond the closing of the gates, there would be a revival: that broken hearts would be healed, broken marriages and homes repaired, warring tribes reconciled, hearts turned to Christ in repentance and that God’s spirit would indeed be poured on all the peoples.
The mediating teams not reaching a political compromise at Serena is sad news given the anxiety and uncertainty that has gripped the country. Continue praying for a political compromise: that the principals of the mediating parties would indeed see the need to resolve their differences for the sake of the country.
God has definitely used Kofi Annan to restore some peace and sanity in the country. Pray that God would not let these efforts go to waste and that a compromise would be found to get Kenyans out of the crisis. Pray prophetically that never again will Kenyans go to the streets to kill one another.
Continue praying for wisdom for Kofi Annan, William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, Sally Kosgei, Martha Karua, Mutula Kilonzo and Moses Wetangula. Pray that these men would be freed from the clutches of their principals and instead mediate for Kenya and Kenyans.
Underlying the crisis is the need for a new constitutional dispensation. Pray that our politicians would not be blinded by the love for power and that they would see the need to give the country a new constitution. Pray that they would instead be given the power to love.
Pray against greed buy the political class: that resources would be shared equitably and that people would not steal from the Government. Pray particularly against the spirit of ‘our time to eat’ by the political class.
The heart of a king is in the hands of God and it is him who turns it to the left or to the right. Pray for Hon. Mwai Kibaki; that as the king, God would turn his heart to fully resolve the political crisis we are in. Pray for a softening of heart for him to fully yield to the leading of the Spirit of God. Pray for discernment.
Pray for the Hon. Raila Odinga: that he too would be led by the spirit of God.
Pray that his judgments would be spirit filled and that his heart too would be softened to yield to the leading of the Spirit. Pray for discernment.
Never tire in praying for the peace of Kenya. Pray Pray Pray!
